A Robotic Cat that Anyone Can Build

Who wouldn’t want an adorable robot kitten? Rongzhong Li’s robotic cat project Petoi, an open-source platform, runs on an Arduino microcontroller. Here, the wooden puzzle forms the cat’s basic frame, while a small computer is embedded in its torso to direct its movements. Further, the website allows anyone to build a robotic cat with an open-source kit available on Petoi’s website. This programmable cat can walk, bat its paws, and even regain its balance after a jump from an elevated surface. To learn more about Petoi’s robot cat, watch the video.
