Technology ace Apple Inc. joined the smart speaker segment way later than Google and Amazon. The HomePod first launched in 2018, but it was far costlier than its counterparts. Watch this video at Engadget, in which Nathan Ingraham describes elite features of the new HomePod mini. The spherical speaker is small but is more accessible than other Apple gadgets. The fabric wrapped around the speaker has an LED panel that comes to life using the “Hey Siri” command. Like other company gadgets, the speaker works only within the Apple ecosystem, which means you can operate it through your iPhone only. The tool is reasonably priced at $99 and is available across all Apple stores.
