You can update or collect information from the database with ease. The question is, how would you connect to the database management system using Python? Let’s find out below:

Path to Connect Database

  • Use CRUD operations for database management, i.e., ‘Create, Read, Update, and Delete’.
  • You would come across Python libraries like SQLite, PyMySQL, python-sql, and myql-connector. SQLite is common in these libraries.


  • The connect () method would link to an existing SQLite database or create a new one. Ensure that your database name has the .db extension. For instance, Customer.db can be an option.
  • Once connected, build a Cursor object and use its execute method for your SQL commands.
  • When you have new tables for database management, utilize the SQL Statements. The tables will have name and age as columns. Search up your database using DB Browser.
  • The process of inserting the data into the database is the same as creating those tables.
  • Open your database to check the values in each table.
  • Iterate the values in the Customer table.
  • You can easily change the Customer details in the table.
  • You can also add new columns to the table.
