Employee engagement strategies have been proven to improve efficiency and productivity of workers. Studies have revealed that companies that work on employee engagement strategies deliver high profits and grow above their industry average. Highly engaged organizations don’t have to resort to mechanisms like termination or peer pressure to motivate their employees. These organizations implement practices like employee recognition, constructive feedback, and one-on-one meetings to drive performance. Employees feel valued when their successes are recognized. Employees feel that they have succeeded in making a meaningful impact at work.

These three characteristics of employee engagement coincide with the role of project portfolio management (PPM) in stakeholder engagement. “To build trust among stakeholders, companies can use PPM to establish a process for managing resources based on the goals of the organizations so that stakeholders can fully engage in their work,” says Francesco.

How is PPM Beneficial?

Employees often depend on the company’s support to achieve their goals. This relationship between employees and companies highlights the importance of cooperation among all parties to drive value for the organization. Managers who adhere to management principles create an environment that contributes to success. Management principles help in removing the roadblocks and increase employee engagement. PPM is the management process that allows leaders to execute management tasks and processes.
