Ease Is a Greater Threat to Career Growth Than Hardship

In this video at Alpha Leaders, Denzel Washington explains what you should do for career growth. “Ease is a greater threat to progress than hardship,” he opines. Unless you take risks, you are not doing anything meaningful. Per Nelson Mandela, “There’s no passion to be found playing small, and settling for a life that is less than the one you’re capable of living.” So, do not lose your life passion by pursuing a career just to fall back on. If you want prolific career growth, do not play it safe. It should be about your passion that you gladly fall forward trying to reach. You can achieve this goal-oriented attitude through discipline and consistency.
