Leaders must never plan to cover all elements simultaneously. Instead, they must create a resilience strategy for each. These proactive measures will undoubtedly set an example for other executives looking to address crisis management.

Certify Your Staff

CIOs must certify as many staff members as possible in emergency-response training, including how to respond to shock and threat exhaustion. They must also have a second disaster management team ready to relieve the first responders soon from the emergency, to alleviate physical and emotional fatigue.
