A Montreal-based EdTech startup, Paper, which offers an educational support system for K-12 students, has raised $100 million in a Series C funding round. The investment comes in the wake of extraordinary growth over the last year—from supporting 50,000 students to over one million across North America. Paper aims at giving students an equal opportunity to excel academically. Its software provides students with unlimited 24/7 homework help, writing feedback, and study support at a predictable fixed cost. In the last year, Paper has grown from 100 tutors to 1,000 tutors. “The last year has been transformational for the education system. This is just the beginning of an evolution,” says Phil Cutler, Paper CEO. To learn more about this education technology, watch this video.
