Optimizing logistics, detecting fraud, conducting research, providing translations: artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming people’s lives for the better. However, there are ethical challenges with AI. So, what are they? In this video, Bernard Marr explains some of the most significant ethical challenges of AI. “In the future, AI will make increasingly important, instant decisions that are driven by algorithms. The process cannot have humans in the loop,” explains Marr. These challenges are unique to AI. Marr also points out that the data used to train AI systems has biases. For instance, some large enterprises’ facial recognition algorithms had biases when detecting people’s gender. Are you curious to learn more about the pressing issues in AI? Watch this video.
