Do you want to live in a 3D Mars habitat with absolutely no contact with people from Earth? NASA is 3D-printing Mars Dune Alpha, a 1700-square-foot house, to host four people in a simulated Mars environment for this fall. It has space for work, medical equipment, a gym, lavatories, and growing food. The habitat is printed by ICON, the firm that assisted in creating the first 3D-printed community in Mexico. CEO and co-founder Jason Ballard claims that Mars Dune Alpha will prepare you to live on Mars, even though it is currently found in NASA’s Johnson Space Center. Discover more about the 3D Mars habitat with Andy Altman in this CNET video.
