Via CEO Daniel Ramot says the company is aiming to reduce carbon emission by encouraging riders to choose public transportation over private vehicles. The majority of the American people do not have cars, but public services are also not readily available. For instance, you cannot reach a hospital or a grocery store in 30 minutes using public transport. Even if you get to the bus, you are not sure if you could get a seat on it.
