Now that several offices are reopening, people have mixed feelings regarding coming to the office. Most of them had a positive experience while working from home. Several job candidates that had trouble finding a job or balancing work and life were finally getting the chance to showcase their skills and talent at work. In this video, the Economist’s deputy executive editor Sacha Nauta gets into conversation with senior writer Callum Williams and correspondent Vinjeru Mkandawire. Mkandawire points out that the expectations of employers and employees can be different. For instance, Apple’s senior management wants the staff to come to the physical office at least three days a week. Nearly 1,000 employees have already signed two petitions to roll back the decision. Williams adds that organizations will lose good talent if the business owners mandate a return to the office. Watch more now.
