Earth has experienced many grave changes in the past few years. From the rise in global warming to the pandemic, many things have affected the planet on a grand scale. In addition, NASA scientists have asserted that there is a good possibility that a 50-meter-long meteorite can hit the earth in the near future. In one of their recent videos, Lana Zak from CBS News talks to Bill Harwood, CBS News senior space analyst, about the new asteroid that poses a severe threat to Earth. The double asteroid redirection test (DART) spacecraft is attempting to alter the asteroid’s path, and there are several ways that the NASA team is trying to execute this operation. The DART spacecraft will take approximately 10 months to reach the destination and destroy the meteorite.
